Artist Biography
My artwork is inspired by the beauty and movement in the natural world. I seek to represent what I have seen as bold, stylised forms, either 2D or 3D. Often, I try to explain concepts and ideas through images. For example, I enjoyed the challenge of placing animal species in their correct geographical location, so as to evoke the shape, colour and native artwork of Australia (see Biodiversity paintings). I am currently strongly influenced by admiration for Canadian artists- both First Nation, and Group of Seven-style landscape artists.
