Artist Biography
Rachel Esdaile is an
artist and art educator who draws much of her inspiration from nature in her work in drawings, paintings and ceramics. She studied at the Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh University where, together with training in drawing painting and printmaking, she acquired an MA in Art History. She worked for five years as Education Development Officer for the National Trust for Scotland. As a qualified teacher she is still active in many areas of art education including art curriculum and resource development and in running courses and workshops. She is also involved in nurturing creativity in Christian worship in churches and related organisations. A season working for
A Rocha UK to establish education programmes for the Living Waterways project in inner London, was a project in which her experience and enthusiasm for education, and creativity were allowed to develop and flourish.
