FAQs

How do I purchase a painting?

The payment method is through PayPal which can be accessed in each paintings details.

What are the dispatch arrangements?

Arrangements can be made for art to be picked up direct by purchasers and an address can be supplied on request as the location of each piece will depend upon the arrangement between the artist and EnviroArt gallery. Alternatively, work can be dispatched by courier, see next section. For further information visit the "contact" page on this website.

How are paintings dispatched to me?

Art which is sold as mounted work on paper can be posted and the charge is £10.00. Normally dispatch of framed art is by carrier in a specially designed reusable container. Dispatch costs £25.00 in the UK and a £10.00 refund is available for all containers returned in good condition. In some cases work can be picked up by the vendor and enquiries are handled through admin@enviroartgallery.com.

Can I get my own paintings exhibited in the EnviroArt Gallery?

Artists whose work is based on environmental and wildlife themes, and who are in sympathy with the philosophy that is explained on this website may apply for inclusion by submitting photographs of work and guidance on pricing aspirations to EnviroArt Gallery throughthe contact address (see contacts page) or by post to Administration, EnviroArt Gallery C/o A Rocha UK, 13 Avenue Road, Southall. Middlesex, UB1 3BL.

If my work is included will it be displayed indefinitely?

Work is generally accepted for a 3 month period initially, after which its removal from the website may be considered if nothing is selling.

What percentage of the sale price of a painting goes to A Rocha?

This is a "Not for Profit" company which takes a Commission of 25%. Administration costs are kept to an absolute minimum and it exists exclusively to provide funds for A Rocha, an environmental charity in the UK Reg No 10892276. There are many different aspects to A Rocha's work and the artists are given the opportunity to designate the destination of commissions within the organisation.

What will I need to provide to EnviroArt Gallery to get my work featured on the website?

Before posting work to the website, good quality Jpegs need to be supplied, which have been edited with a desktop publishing package so the rectangles are straight and the colour represents a good rendition of the original. We are able to provide this service for the artist. This is outsourced to a graphic designer and is subject to quotation for costs.

Each artist must also supply a small portrait and some biographical details to go on the website.

Who owns the copyright when a painting is sold?

Generally this is retained by the artist, so that reproduction for commercial purposes is not possible. But arrangements can be changed by negotiation with the artist.
